Alison Edwards visited us from ANSTO last week to discuss the Wide Nozzle customisation option, available for the Cryostream and Cobra.
The wide nozzle provides a 146% increase to the sample area and has a range of applications and benefits. ANSTO has been using a wide nozzle Cobra on their KOALA, a single-crystal Laue neutron diffractometer, and have future plans to use this setup with Argon gas.
Alison has been extremely positive about how the wide nozzle has enabled new research and we’re excited to share more information about this customisation option at the ACA2024 in Denvor next week.
