Developed with beamlines in mind, the system supports precise sample temperature control from 80 to 500 K and can be configured for a wide range of diffraction cabinets and beamline environments.

Options
Configure the Cryostream to meet the needs of your research. These options support a broad range of applications, and enable integration into a variety of experimental setups. Many of these began as bespoke solutions for specific customers, and we remain committed to ensuring that nothing stands in the way of our customers advancing their science.

Wide Nozzle
The Wide Nozzle enables stable cooling of larger samples, improves compatibility with mounted or embedded specimens, and can reduce X-ray beam shadowing by increasing the working distance between the nozzle and sample.

Cryostream Plus
Cryostream Plus extends the operating temperature range up to 500 K, enabling precise and reproducible heating of samples above ambient temperature. This expanded range supports a wider variety of experiments, from catalyst and semiconductor studies to advanced materials research.


Compact Nozzle
The compact nozzle reduces the overall length of the coldhead by 134 mm, making it ideal for installations where space is limited. Its shortened design also supports applications requiring horizontal sample access or constrained experimental geometries.

Longer Transfer Line
The longer transfer line extends the distance between the Cryostream and the dewar, providing greater flexibility when integrating the system into large X-ray diffraction cabinets or laboratory environments.

Accessories

Varibeam Mount
This coldhead mount features fine-adjustment controls that provide smooth translational movement along the X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring precise and repeatable alignment with the sample for every experiment.

Autofill System
Designed for use with the 60 L Dewar, the Autofill automatically monitors liquid nitrogen levels and refills the local dewar from a supply dewar as required. This enables extended, uninterrupted operation of the Cryostream while eliminating the need for manual refilling.


Mobile Storage Rack
The three-tier mobile storage rack provides convenient storage for cryogenic accessories, tools, and consumables. Featuring lockable casters for easy positioning, it keeps essential equipment organised and readily accessible.

Display Puck
The Display Puck provides a convenient local display of Cryostream status and temperature information. Its magnetic mounting system allows it to be positioned wherever it is most useful, giving users immediate access to key operating data at the experiment.
